PHOTODISRUPTION YAG LASERS
ULTRA Q

Ultra Q™ allows you to perform capsulotomy and iridotomy procedures at lower, more efficient power levels with a reduced risk of side effects, such as lens pitting.

IOL-Friendly Photodisruption
Ultra Q’s Ultra Gaussian spot profile and fast rise time enable you to perform capsulotomies and iridotomies at lower, more efficient power levels – and with a reduced risk of side effects such as lens pitting, retinal thickening, increased IOP or collateral damage to surrounding structures. With Ultra Q™ you can achieve optical breakdown (in air) of approximately 1.8mJ, in optimal conditions. This differentiates Ultra Q from other YAG lasers, which typically achieve optical breakdown (in air) of 3 to 4mJ in optimal conditions.

Capsulotomy for IOLs
The goal is a perfectly centered, precise capsulotomy that will not affect the tension of the bag and the position of the IOL in the visual axis. The precision and ultra-low energy optical breakdown provided by Ultra Q™ Reflex creates a capsulotomy opening that is precisely controlled, without causing damage to the lens – even if the lack of a ridge makes the capsule adhere to the optic.

Iridotomy for Phakic IOLs
Refractive IOLs that are designed to correct myopia, or hyperopia (also known as Phakic IOLs) can be placed in front of the iris or between the iris and the natural lens. To prevent any possibility of IOL-induced pupillary block, these lenses require peripheral iridotomies prior to surgery. The iridotomy aperture must be large enough to ensure a balanced aqueous flow, yet small enough so that no light is transmitted back to the pupil, which can cause double vision. Ultra Q™ enables you to create a precise size of the iridotomy, often in a single shot that uses lower energy than other YAG lasers.

ULTRA Q REFLEX

Ultra Q Reflex™ is designed for capsulotomy with new generation IOLs, peripheral iridotomy for glaucoma and YAG laser vitreolysis for the treatment of floaters.

Optimized for Posterior YAG Laser Treatments
Ultra Q Reflex’s proprietary slit lamp illumination tower design converges the operator’s vision, the target illumination and the treatment beam onto the same optical path, and focuses them to the same optical plane – minimizing the potential for focusing errors and the risk of damage to the natural lens or the retina. This makes Ultra Q Reflex™ ideal for targeting vitreous strands and opacities.

Optimized for Anterior YAG Laser Treatments
Featuring Ellex’s proprietary Ultra Gaussian spot profile and fast rise time, with Ultra Q Reflex™ you can perform capsulotomies and iridotomies at lower, more efficient power levels – and with a reduced risk of side effects such as lens pitting, retinal thickening, increased IOP or collateral damage to surrounding structures.

Traditionally, removal of the vitreous humor via vitrectomy has been considered the standard treatment approach for patients suffering from floaters. Like most surgical procedures, however, vitrectomy carries a significant risk of complications, including: retinal detachment, anterior vitreous detachment and macular edema – which can threaten vision or worsen existing floaters (in the case of retinal detachment). Ultra Q Reflex™ laser vitreolysis (vitreolysis) offers an effective outpatient-based treatment alternative.

DIAGNOSTIC ULTRASOUND
EYE CUBED

With customized configuration of A-Scan and B-Scan modes, Eye Cubed™ covers all of your diagnostic ultrasound needs for both the posterior and anterior segments.
Pre-op or post-op, A-Scan or B-Scan, retina or anterior segment: whatever your focus, Eye Cubed™ shows you more, in more detail, than any other device of its kind.

Eye Cubed’s 40 MHz UBM mode allows you to view anterior structures such as the cornea, iris, ciliary body, crystalline and intraocular lens more clearly than ever before.
Whether determining the sulcus-to-sulcus measurement for accurate ICL sizing or the angle for potential angle closure and possible YAG laser iridotomy, Eye Cubed’s 40M Hz UBM mode is the gold-standard in high-resolution ultrasound.

2RT RETINAL REJUVENATION
2RT

A breakthrough treatment approach, Ellex 2RT™ - Retinal Rejuvenation Therapy - retains the therapeutic benefits of laser therapy whilst eliminating the thermal tissue damage inherent in conventional retinal photocoagulation. 2RT™ is Ellex’s proprietary nanosecond laser therapy that stimulates a natural, biological healing response in the eye to slow the degenerative processes that cause retinal disease, including AMD.

Retinal Rejuvenation Therapy stimulates a biological healing process that results in cellular rejuvenation, renewing the entire transport mechanism of the retina and improving the hydraulic conductivity of Bruch’s Membrane. In suitable patients, this rejuvenation process preserves or improves functional vision and reduces disease progression.

Ellex 2RT™ utilizes an ultra-short nanosecond laser pulse that allows the precise and specific delivery of laser energy to nano-sized targets within the cellular structure of ageing RPE cells – without causing collateral damage to the overlying photoreceptor rods and cones of the retina.

  • 2RT™ utilizes Nanopix™ Technology comprising solid-state nanosecond laser technology and a pixelated beam profile.
  • 2RT™ induces a mononuclear cell response in the treatment of early AMD, including the stimulation of microglia.
  • 2RT™ eliminate the incidence of heat damage to the retina and surrounding cells in the treatment of CSME.
